A change since my last trip is the offering of duty free on board 3k both ways between SIN and KUL. They seem to sell the old JW Gold that is 18yrs which is getting hard to find, week after next I will see if the picture matches the product.

Interesting. I am not sure if the rules have changed recently, but previously you could not bring duty-free items into Singapore from Malaysia, and I assume its the same in the other direction. I was once stopped upon arrival into SIN, after clearing customs and about to walk out of the terminal, and had my luggage screened. I had purchase a bottle of scotch in KUL and was only transiting SIN for about 8 hours but had gone land-side for a work meeting in Singapore. I was not aware of the restriction and surprised by it when asked why I was bringing duty-free alcohol in from Malaysia. They let me keep it but told me about the rule so I was aware for next time.

Not sure if its still a rule at SIN, will buy it if its the real Gold into KUL, might save me a trip to LGK where I know I can get the real Gold, need to snap up more green while its still available.

There are no duty free concessions if arriving in Singapore from Malaysia. The other direction is fine (unless you are a Malaysian resident, then there's some restrictions on length of time out of the country).

Question being what's changed for 3K to offer it both ways in the air?
