Will be travelling on a oneworld RTW J award in Aug/Sept with a stopover in Dubai on the way back to Oz. Flying CX DXB-HKG and then QAN from there to MEL.
Have investigated which J lounges we can access on the oneworld web site and the search for Dubai oneworld airline lounges only turned up 3 options (for BA/Finnair, S7 and RJ) with no mention of CX. Surely DXB has more J oneworld lounges than that ??????
Anyone know if there is any J lounge access for pax flying CX? I think T3 is Emirates only so it would have to be in T1 I'm guessing

Yes, but not sure if that info is current cmon0005. There seems to be a perennial problem with understanding the lounges issue generally and the BA Galleries/Terraces one in particular.
Oneworld lists the Galleries at DXB for BA & RJ with no mention of CX. When you go to the BA website to get info on their DXB lounge/s the link connects you back to the oneworld site - so no help there. I'd like to know if there is a Galleries and a Terraces at DXB or only one (maybe the Terraces has been re-named to "Galleries" at some stage like I think they did at LHR ??

The other conflict is that the opening hours CX lists for the Terraces at DXB are different to those published for Galleries - which tends to suggest they are separate and distinct lounges.
Hopefully someone who has used these facilities at DXB can clarify ?

I also spotted another ambiguity on the CX site regarding use of the CX lounges at HKG. Oneworld Rules say you can't use arrivals lounges unless you have tier status and you can only use the J lounge of the airline you are departing on. But CX has the following info on its site:

This could be interpreted as meaning that CX's own rules are that you can use the CX arrivals lounge at HKG provided you travel to HKG on a CX or Dragonair J ticket (which I will be doing as part of my RTW award J fare). This is unrelated to tier status which is covered separately. In the list above CX seems to make the distinction that you can't access the lounges if you travel to HKG on a oneworld carrier other than CX and therefore if you fly CX you presumably can?? I know I can use the QAN lounge at HKG but, given the good reviews of the CX lounges, I'd like to try them if I could........
