Dubai Connect for J Pax - how does it work?

Hi,

i just booked an award seat in J HKG-DXB connecting to DXB-AMM which necessitates an overnight connection in DXB (of around 12 hours). I have put in an order in manage my booking on the QF website which seems to have been successful. However I have not gotten anything like an email confirmation of this.

Does anyone have any experiences with Dubai connect in J? How does the service work, which hotel etc.
