I've had envelopes passed to me on QF flights before for the Unicef program, but is something similar done by other airlines?

Flying next weekend (VA & SQ), and been clearing out my foreign currency stash, and have quite a lot of coinage to offload. I'd prefer to donate it to a worthy cause, but I don't recall ever getting one of those spare change envelopes on other airlines? Or do you need to actually ask the crew for one? It's possible that my memory is simply failing me on this...

Alternatively, are there any of those spare change donation boxes at Brisbane Int?

Thanks :)

A lot of airlines do this, and many also have change donation boxes near the gates.
I'm fairly sure VA does, I haven't flown SQ since I was 16.
And let's not ask how long ago that was.

According to UN Business, there are at least 10 airlines participating in the 'Change for Good' envelopes program:
Aer Lingus, Alitalia, All Nippon Airways (ANA), American Airlines, Asiana Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, JAL and QANTAS
EasyJet and Cebu Pacific also joined in this year - I can't see anything about VA or SQ.

Security at Wellington had a collection box for local protective services (police fund of some sort or something affiliated with them) and collector cards of their security dogs for the kiddies, which I thought was cute.

I threw my change in the box as I have a baggie of mixed up coins at home that drives me nuts/I need to sort through one day.
