Hi All.

Did some searching but couldn't find the exact answer I was looking for.

I'm a little confused about how I would go about award tickets for a domestic flight in South Africa with QFF points. The flights are listed as BA (Commair) for sale and show on aa.com as being available to redeem. I can't however find them (or any domestic SA flight) on qantas.com - is this one of the times I have to ring to book it!? Or is it not something that is even possible?

Thanks

These BA/Comair flights can be booked with QF points. If you can see them on the AA website, I'd say you should be able to book by calling Qantas. They'll waive the phone booking fee if you can't book online.

FWIW, the Qantas website has been omitting pretty much all BA flights from award searches for the past few weeks.

A caution when booking domestic SA flights with BA (Comair) via Qantas.com, the co-pay is rather steep and it's almost always cheaper to book these as full fare directly with Comair (kulula.com). Saves cash, pick up some status credits and still have access to the SLOW lounge, where applicable.

If you do decide you want to include them in an award ticket, you can also look for availability on the BA Executive Club site.
