I got yet another email offering a bait of 100 000 points and thought I'd do it for a change. I used to do them regularly but they only took about 5 minutes. This one warned me it would take 20 minutes when I started but I thought I'd do it. I've been at it for 15 minutes (it feels like it anyway) and I'm less than halfway through. The questions are very repetitive and about airlines I've never flown (Scoot, Thai, Etihad) along with QF and JQ (which I avoid) so my answers are mostly meaningless.

There doesn't seem to be a way to save the survey and come back so I came here to see if others have experienced this. I'm about to give it away. 100 000 points doesn't get you far these days anyway...

Yes Warks, others do complete these surveys !!!! Mr Jojen just did !!! Like you he found the questions repetitive and rather meaningless regarding airlines we have not flown. It was the chance to win the points that enticed him.

The survey also took a LOT longer than 20 mins to complete. Did not time it, but left for a while on iPad to return later.

The less people that complete it the more chance of others winning the FF points !!!!

Most of the time I do not bother unless there is a reward for doing the survey not a chance to win something.

I do the NAB business survey plus the Qantas and Morgans ones. The rest get deleted.

Out of interest who is offering 100K in points for a survey. That is pretty massive.

EDIT.

I read the next post which says "chance of winning".

I pretty much ignore most things which are a "chance of winning" unless it is minimal time to enter...as normally that is a bugga al chance. Having said that I have a daughter that looks for competitions where she believes entries are very low, and has won a number of good prizes this way. ie $1000 cash from Dominos and the like.

How did you get the survey? I've never gotten one from QF offering any sort of reward or payment.

QF makes no guarantee that they will act on the results of such surveys in a way that suits us, the customer. They may in fact use them to our detriment. They are receiving my considered advice for free. You get what you pay for. I make no guarantee that I will answer the questions in a way that suits QF's purposes.

Unless any issue you have with QF's product is associated with an "I will fly airline X instead, and recommend them to my friends", don't expect your answers to influence future QF product. So just because you have never flown airline X doesn't mean you cannot answer as if you have.

VA (QF's nemeses) always sends me through it's partner to do those surveys, after my many trips to get to attain VA PS.
Pain in the bum, the VA ones do not have a reward, so I just delete them!
I did have a QF one that I completed, but don't remember there being a bait (or a chance to win 100,000 QFFF points) to fill one in.

[TD="align: left"]Understanding the way airline travellers interact with an airline is crucial to developing better products and improving the flying experience. Getting to know what matters most to you is very important to us.

To help us with this, we'd appreciate 20 minutes of your time to provide your opinions and in return, you will be entered into a draw to win a share of 400,000 Qantas Points. Four winners will each receive 100,000 Qantas Points, so for your chance to win, please complete the survey before midnight 24th December 2014.

Australian Online Research, an independent market research company, has been commissioned to help Qantas undertake this confidential survey.

Four winners. I didn't read that before.

I've gone from WP to SG to PS in the last three years so I don't know why they've targeted me.

I just have to say, bear with me on this, that there have been more "kick" in it, if QF did the research inhouse.
Putting it out to an outsourced company, is like charities buying name and address data, it has a bitter taste to it.
My money from fares, going to QF, only to be paid to an outsourced company?
Come on...!

My wife thinks that this is one of the fastest growing businesses in Australia at the moment.

I did this survey four days ago only for the possible points reward. But GEEZZE did it take a long time with repetitive questions about airlines I had never flown.

Moth to a flame mate, or moth to a blue zapper light.
They know you were once a WP, and know of the "benefits" of being a WP, and they know they "can" entice you back into the fold.
I am a dumb pooch for even thinking QF cared, that was so dumb to even think a PS's point of view was important, when the Jul 14 changes came in, I made a hoolabaloo, letter writing, etc.
No more, QF, no more.
Will delete any QF surveys, and/or opt out of surveys if I can find out how, and sit on NB for the rest of my life.
