It used to be any flights, then went to AA numbers only and is now AA, JL, BA and QF.

Thx fro feedback guys now to decide if I will do an AA plat run.

similar situation - can't see myself requalifying QF gold this year, but a trip to the states alone almost gets AA plat/ QF gold equiv, even on an O class fare so might be worth crediting to AA instead.

Be careful with that, it depends on the flight number. See here regarding QF flight numbers:

American Airlines oneworld partner

**Currently, N accrues at 0% and O accrues 50%. Effective January 1, 2013 N will accrue at 50% and O will accrue 0%.

In short, when crediting to AAdvantage, AA flight numbers earn at better rates than QF ones in discounted Y classes.

You mean fare class?

Both.

O class on a QF flight number earns nothing, the same flight on an AA codeshare earns @ 100% base miles but 50% on EQPs.

N class on a QF flight number earns 50% of base miles and 50% of that on EQPs (effectively 25% EQPs on miles travelled), the same flight on an AA codeshare earns at 100% of base miles and 50% on EQPs.

Note that QF cannot ticket an AA codeshare on QF metal, even on a OW ticket eg LONE4.
