If the FAs say anything, just say you’ll be happy to take some BA F one’s.

It happened to me but I was probably half asleep and didn’t think to ask for BA replacements! 😁

I personally hate the QF PJs.
They’re better than trying to sleep in civies but yeah, I usually pack a T-Shirt anyway as I can overheat now that superheated cabins are the norm on many airlines 😒

I used to pack a rugby top, tracky daks and explorer socks before comp PJs. I‘d probably expire wearing that these days - maybe it was an upper deck 747 thing about cold cabins in the past….

I bring specific clothes to sleep in - usually a loose fitting UnderAmour running shirt and some shorts.

Which is fine, you dont have to use them but I found them handy as meant no need to pack sleeping outfit for flight, reserving room in hand luggage for actual clothes which were needed when BA lost my luggage.

Its interesting because if Id been able to get on the AA flight PJs would be provided, so BA clearly don't feel the need to compete with AA on inclusions on the route.

Its not a biggie, I was just curious, as will need to adjust my carry-on contents accordingly.

I thought AA was also F only?

@justinbrett is correct

No PJs on AA J on that route

And for the record BA doesn't have to compete with AA on the route - they have a JV for transatlantic (together with AY and IB).

QR special World Cup themed top is so good I wear it at home 😊 & certainly will be exhibited again on upcoming F flights of a couple of other airlines . Star alliance, too 😳

Well the article linked above mentioned that AA provide PJs in J on overnight flights, hence my misunderstanding. Like I said not a drama, but good to know.

IME Qantas seem to rarely offer AA on transatlantic redemptions, for whatever reason BA seems to be offered in spades. I couldn't find any AA metal flights between DFW/JFK/ORD and LHR/DUB for whole of August, hence going via BA and coming back via HEL on AY. And this year couldnt get US domestic J on dates I needed, so because i needed a second airline to make it an OWA had to be AY.

Which article ?

Wow. What was said?
Oh, just half joking that I was wearing the wrong ones.

I had just flown SYD-HND overnight on QF with several hours layover before flying to LHR on BA. It was probably well into the 2nd flight he noticed.
