Do any airline programs have the equivalent of the JASA besides QANTAS?

Hi,

Pretty self explanatory. I'm looking to burn some points to get to gold in another program and found out I have to buy the flights with Virgin. Wondering if any other airlines have this equivalent.

Thanks,
Paul

AFAIK in Australia this is only offered by QF.

In terms of using "points" to earn "qualifying points"(or SCs)...

Firstly not all airline separate points and qualifying points.... I can think of...
BA - miles and TPs
AA - points and QPs (but more broadly the same)
Most just use flown miles, occasionally segments.

This imho is a substantive benefit of the QF program that makes up for some of its other faults.

With BA and AA do you still earn qualifying points on award bookings? To mean ASAs on Virgin are just greater award availability if you're willing to pay more, I heard on another thread that they may introduce points and SCs on these flights but my guess it's harder with revenue based points systems.

I agree that it's a great benefit as loyalty can be demonstrated in rewards too.

No you don't earn miles (AA), Avios /Tier Points (BA) on award bookings with either BA or AA.
AFAIK QF is unique in offering this with ASA's.
