Kicking myself missed a cracking deal on ADL>AUK>SFO for late July. Emailed our friends in SFO to check if dates worked for them and got answer back overnight. Went to book and Pssstttt they had gone. Should have realised sent email on the 28th Feb and went to book 1st of March....end of the special.

Couple of weeks later there is and a $300 off economy and PE "special" which is thousands away from what they offered( next time will pay the $45 and hold for three day). Anyway the current offer runs out on the 27th March.

just wondering if Air NZ ever improve on their current offers? That is would it be likely to expect if seats are not selling as they would like that they would up the discount or would that just piss the folks off that just took their previous offer up?

Don't know wether to let's this current offer slip through to the keeper and hope for a better deal in a few weeks time? Looking to travel late July and back mid August.

Anyone had any experience?

Regards,

Fleetz

Trying to predict the future price of airfares is near impossible. My gut feeling is that Air NZ is unlikely to drop the price for those particular travel dates again in the future by more than $300, but that is really just a guess. On one hand, they are less likely to discount the fares too close to the date of travel, but on the other hand, the dates you are looking for are off-peak.

Do you have your heart set on Air NZ? I would suggest checking out Delta's website. I'm seeing ADL-SFO fares with the ADL-BNE(or SYD)-LAX legs operated by Virgin Australia and Premium economy for the long flights over the Pacific, for around $3100 return.

Thanks Matt...I will look into it.
