Disneyworld tickets

I have seen old threads on this on AFF, and was wondering if there was any updated information anyone was aware of. I am going to disneyworld in November/December 2013. I have been to Disneyland numerous times but this is our first visit to disneyworld. Last year when we went to Disneyland there were 14 day tickets for Australia residents, but they seem to have stopped. I can get a 10 day ticket on disneyworld site, and mousesavers.com. Is there any other option for international guests? Is it best to wait until we get the and buy locally? We are huge disney fans, and yes 14 day passes are beneficial. We went into disneyland 13 out of the 14 days, maybe not for the complete day, but it provided a great amount of flexibility with other attractions and things to do. Any suggestions please.

We did Disneyworld last year and as far I know, Mousesavers.com was the best option, although we were not looking for really long day entry tickets. They have some great deals, so make sure you sign up to their newsletter.

If you are a member of the Aus Defence Force you can get a better discount from Shades of Green which have accommodation in Orlando.

+1 on what kangarucci said. U/cover via mouse savers is what I found to be the best. Suggest that the park hopper option isn't really that practical as the place is so big, it's time consuming to jump parks within the day. U/c will give you a copy of the tix if they get lost in the mail so Disney will replace them at the gate in that case. Universal do this as well, but not the other parks/attractions.

Ksc is about an hours drive fr the theme park area. Easy to get to. Well worth the visit. Book online with them.

Contrary to Deewhy's advice, I think you should consider the Park Hopper tickets. We park hopped with two young-uns at Easter and, while it is time consuming, given that you are planning two weeks there (we had 12 days) I think by the time you get towards the end of your trip you will be in a position to go back and revisit your favourite bits, which is where the Park Hopper tickets work well. I think the very small price difference makes them worthwhile for folks with past Disney experience such as yourself.

Thanks for the advice. My next question, and perhaps I need to start a new thread, but here goes; I am wondering if transfers from airport to the Disney area is the way to go, or to hire a car. We are not staying at a disney hotel so no complimentary transfers. There are 3 of us going, and we always hire a car from LAX to Anaheim, because of the cost variation to transfers is much better, and I know my way around LA and Orange County/Anaheim, so I can get to Anaheim in under 1/2 the time of a transfer shuttle. I have never been to Orlando and we are arriving about 5pm from BNE -LAX, and am not sure about the drive, after a long flight and not being familiar with the area. Any advice would be of assistance. Thanks.

Orlando is very spread out but it isn't difficult to find your way around - the parks are very well sign posted - and if you're used to driving in LA then Orlando is much easier to get around. We rented a house for our recent trip which was also our first time there so a shuttle was not an option (and I'm not a shuttle person anyway). We picked up a rental at the airport and used it every day to visit the parks and also for some shopping trips. Given that you are already comfortable driving in the US I would suggest doing the same.

I think that with a sat nav, you will be fine. We have done it with and without a sat nav and all was good.

We had a few days in Orlando earlier this year. A car is compulsory. Easiest to get one from the airport so as to have it straight away. The place is sooooo spread out. Our Tom Tom from here (with USA maps loaded of course) was a god send, but as always with these things have a paper map or two just to be sure it's not confused and taking you in the wrong direction. KSC worth a visit. Allow a whole day. It's stunning.

One thing I found when there is Orlando claims to have the biggest car rental market on the planet. So you shouldn't have any problems finding one

Have a look at Orlando Attractions for well priced (read cheap) tickets for the Orlando area. I have used them and they are reputable.

If looking for a really great Dinner Show then look at Medieval Times.

One thing I found when there is Orlando claims to have the biggest car rental market on the planet. So you shouldn't have any problems finding one

We did Orlando (Disney etc.) last year without a hire car, but next time I would definitely get one. We managed to get around International Drive using the Trolley's and out to the big outlet malls via the bus. We cabbed it out to Disneyworld, but could easily have driven. If you've done LA to Anaheim, driving in Orlando will be a piece of cake.

A little late entering the responses, however as a self proclaimed Disney Resort addict I can answer a few questions...

The 10 day Disneyworld ticket is the longest duration ticket you can buy, prior to getting an Annual Passport.

The 10 day ticket is valid for 14 days, and I strongly recommend getting the Park hopper option (works out to be $5.90 per day surcharge)

For Disneyland, due to crowding ever since DCA re-opened and with the success of Cars Land the maximum length of ticket media
available now is 5 Days (or an Annual Passport), as per Disneyworld tickets, this 5 days is valid over a 14 day period.

I think this year will be my first in close to 10 years I will let my Annual Passport expire, over the past 2 years the price has gone from
the low $700's to $849 and now it is $979 (ouch)… mind you, that is access to both Disneyland & Disneyworld, and the benefits/discounts
are quite good for F&B and other special invite perks.

For both parks I strongly recommend a rental car, even if staying at a Disney property… There is so much to see and do around Orlando (and Anaheim),
it would be a pain to be restricted to tours and shuttle buses.

Suggest booking car thru Argus or one of the other brokers - rates usually include most insurances and very reasonable.
