How does (199.95-10)+19.95=229.90?

Anyway, yep; not a bad deal. I like the quality of Panasonic Lumix cameras and I'm sure you'll enjoy! :p
When you add in another $19.95 for the second 2GB card that was included. Then there is only a 5c discrepancy ;)

Ah yes. The human eye does some wonderful things.

Saw the 2gb and the eyes glanced over the proceeding 2

Try (199.95-10) + (19.95*2) + 5c from somewhere
Hmmm.... Loking at the receipt the camera was $190 (so only a $9.95 discount ) and the 2 SD cards were $39.90. Now all that is left is a crash course on learning how to use the camera....

Pffft:!: Who ever reads the manual? :D

Insert SD card, put the dial across to iA and flick the switch to camera (red icon) rather than viewing (green icon) and hit the button on the top :p

So that explains the missing 5c :p

Shame its not quite enough to claim the GST back under the TRS. I think the min for that is $300 on a single invoice. But no point in spending $70 to save $30 . Though some members here might do so for the extra 70 Amex MR points .

Sorry that this is not quite following the flow of the thread, but I thought it would be of interest anyway.

A website I have found invaluable when looking for digital cameras is www.digitalversus.com Its got a section called product faceoff where you can compare photos between cameras, which helps when you just can't decide between a couple in the same price range.

They also review other techy stuff, like TV's, Video cards, CPU's etc.

If you click through to the product survey articles, they rate each product by star, so you search by items that are only 4 or 5 stars to see what cuts the mustard in your price range.

My apologies in advance for those of you who get stuck procrastinating comparing everything under the sun, I find myself in that boat often enough .

Bad man. :D I was actually thinking of buying from SYD Tax and Duty free to save GST, earn Amex MR points and QFF points. :p
