Hi all!

I have booked a CNS-BNE-TSV return flight, and CNS-BNE yields 15 (30) SCs while the BNE-TSV yields 10 (20) for economy flights.

Now, I have no intention on boarding the BNE-TSV legs, yet I still hope to get the points/SCs for them!
(I really just want the CNS-BNE flights)

I see little wrong in doing so, and am wondering what are my best options?

Thanks!

No fly, no points/Scs
and any BNE-CNS flight will probably get cancelled.

Just book what you want to fly and understand that as soon as you miss a leg the rest of your itinerary is cancelled.

No points or SCs if you don't fly a leg so no benefit there either.

Okay, looks like I won't be able to get SCs for the legs I don't fly.

I'll call VA up and find out whether I can cancel the legs I don't want to fly without jeopardizing the rest of my itinerary. Ta!

I ended up having to pay 35 to obtain a refund, then an additional 35 to re-book tickets CNS-BNE!

Lesson learnt!

One time, this guy I knew (and his family pooling partner) received VA points and SCs for a sector he threw away. Interestingly, the points and SCs posted before the scheduled departure of the discarded sector!

Since Sabre introduction, someone else I know (who had a very poor experience with a VA call centre) and ended up throwing away the return, did not get points and SCs posted.
