Definitely Bus Class for departure - but best way to organise Economy return?

Not enough points to get Qantas Business class for 2 to Europe (arrive Milan, return ~Paris). Only 30k points remain after first leg, so is it still best to do Economy return points + pay on same Qantas booking? Or ...?

this is a time I would be researching on googleflights to see what's available one way Paris to Asutralia. Flights are as low as USD700 (o/w) on Carriers such as Air India, Air China and even Asiana.

You'd need to weigh that against QF's pricing after points + pay to see if it's worth your while.
