Flying back with Jetstar to Australia from Bangkok a few days ago, we had previously been held up in traffic so didn't have time to eat at the airport prior to departure. On the plane I got to eat the sausage roll and pie combination I had ordered prior to the flight. They were made by Dad's Pies in New Zealand and were absolutely delicious. The pie wasn't party pie size, but rather half regular pie size.

I then ordered another two packs of the pie and sausage roll and two cans of PepsiMax (cost $23.4 when paid with Jetstar Mastercard). My wife and I thought it a very tasty and satisfying meal. I thought it more satisfying than the meal I had ordered when flying out to Bangkok in Business Class - but then again I am a meat pie fan.

I never knew New Zealand made such marvellous pies and sausage rolls. Great choice Jetstar!

Anybody else tried them?
Regards,
Renato

I tried the Dad's pie and sausage rolls a few months back and yes they are quite good.

From memory not available on all flights and most times I've eaten in lounge so end up using onboard credit on something else.

Glad you liked them too.
I bought mine initially as part of the Jetstar Bundle. In future, I'd be upset if they weren't available, as I would be buying them at the time of booking both in the Bundle and as an extra meal - though I have to admit that the toasted Ham and Cheese sandwiches I had booked on the same trip, were also surprising crispy and delicious.

One reason they are so good is that unlike many other pies and sausage rolls around the place, is that they actually have a little bit of salt in them to enhance the meatiness.
Cheers,
Renato

I also had the Starter Plus included and wanted to use up the credit.

You shouldn't have availability issues on the longer flights especially international. The pies may not be available on some of the shorter flights depending on the time of day. I don't think JQ tops up in fllight carts in transit.
