CX/KA seat selection

Hi all,

I've had a search of the forum but couldn't find an answer!

I have booked a KA/CX award flight through AAdvantage (KTM0-xHKG-BNE J). I was hoping to select some seats!

I've tried my AA 6 letter ticket combination and the booking number into the CX website with no love - it does not like them.

Can anyone confirm whether I need to call AA to get the CX booking ID for the flight or whether there is another way? (just had a sudden thought that maybe I could do it through Finnair).

Anyway, any advice cheerfully received.
