Just looking at using soem QFF points for CX CDG to HKG in F then onto SYD in J

Would I be entitled to F lounge access at HKG?

I believe from all accounts that you will be offered F lounge access in HKG for the connecting flight, provided it is 'same day' (that is, you are connecting, not leaving the airport for a couple days stopover).

This lounge access policy falls outside the normal oneworld rules and is a CX specific policy - arrive F and you can use the F lounge for connections.

Would this situation also apply to arriving into HKG from DFW on AA F and then transferring to QF to SYD, likely to be in Y?

Unfortunately not. Oneworld rules for class-of-service lounge access cover connecting long-haul to short-haul flights.

DFW-HKG is long-haul, but HKG-SYD is also long haul, so the rule doesn't apply.

Individual airlines may have their own rules outside the Oneworld rules governing lounge access for their own passengers. CX->CX may be one of those in the situation described above (arriving F but connecting to a two-class withoth F).

Thanks MEL_Traveller.

If I shorten the SYD and head to BKK instead, then this should work?? I could try the CX A350 :)
