Flying PER-KUL with a stopover in HKG on CX start of next month.
Knowing that HKG-KUL and return will be on the older 773, what are the chances of the new product on the PER-HKG leg (this being a 333). The return leg is on a 343.

Cathay has given me 50 minutes to make my connecting flight to KL, this should be enough time shouldnt it?

Chek Lap Kok is a big airport, but as long as you have legs are are able-bodied you should be able to get to the gate in time.

CX is now using a mix of A340-300 (long-haul older style with slope beds in J in 2x2x2 layout) and A330-300 of which some are still regional config (2x2x2 cradel seats in J), some are the old 3-class long-haul config with slope beds, and some as 2-class new herringbone config with lie-flat beds.

Over the next few months, the regional configs and old 3-class configs seems to be decreasing, steadily replaced by new 2-class herringbone configs. So depends on just when you are flying. Provide the date and I can check the planned config.

Thanks NM, flying out on 6th of May at 12:05am and returning the 9th.

May 6th is slated for a 3-class old long-haul config. So some lucky J passengers will get F seats (J service). J will be slope seats. Aircraft should have AVOD throughout.

9th May HKG-PER is a A340-300, so similar in J and Y, just no F seats.

Cheers NM. Guessing I will have to wait and see as you never know with CX!
