Hi all,
we are looking to travel to DEL (MEL-DEL-MEL) with CX in Nov this year and I have noticed fares of around $1700 in Y+ on their site.
When you click on the aircraft link on the booking it shows that it will be an A333 but that only 1 in the fleet has been fitted with the Y+ seats:

Airbus Industrie 330-300 (33G/333)

does that mean that it's unlikely the MEL-HKG and HKG-DEL legs will actually be serviced by aircraft fitted with Y+ and that we'll pay for Y+ but experience Y? :(
Edit: I have found this statement on their site:
By end of 2012, 48 of our aircraft will feature the new product.
so perhaps these flights will actually be offering full Y+ ??

you would have to be very annoyed if that happened I know I would !!! but as always there will be a get out clause for the airline somewhere I'm sure:shock:

There is and it has been quoted on this site only recently.
Does sound good even to London for $3069 from Sydney, $2787 SYD to CDG even better.
Just need to be careful as a lot of the flights don't have Premium Economy so travel is in Economy.
Also says "Where Premium Economy class is not offered/available, passengers will travel in Economy class without refund/compensation." so if the sub to a plane without PE after booking hopefully they would let you change without charge though from the about clause they could say tough.

There are currently 3 A333 fitted with Y+ and these are currently deployed on the SYD-HKG route.

According to the following article from Australian Busines Traveller, CX will bring its refitted A333 (with new J/Y and Y+) to MEL, ADL and PER from August.

As an aside, CX is notriously slow in updating their fleet details on their website.

Just an update, have now booked MEL-HKG-DEL return in Y+ after receiving and email from the CX sales people that Y+ will be available on these flights.
Looking forward to comparing their Y+ offering to the Y+ experience in QF and JL. For $1696 r/t a very good price though! :p

CX's booking engine advises if Y+ (or any other chosen class for that matter) is available leg by leg. I would continue to monitor the booking engine and if one of your flights changes you could reschedule if you want. (Prior to departure you could get a full refund if you wanted. Once travel had commenced, not sure what compensation they would offer you if one leg was donwgraded.)
