Crystal Ball flight prices 2023

Next year we have one Syd to LHR husband and I together
Husband has one trip to Denmark
Me one trip to USA location undecided lol
Curious to what people predict deals/flights costs will be . Across both Oneworld/star alliance and others
Unlikely to be staying within the one world dedicated now
All trips are business
Had a look and JAL seemed reasonable for the Syd to LHR flight

Prices up-up-up. My TA said that LH were putting prices *for the same fare* up every week or so.

Who knows?! I would hope and expect prices to come down as competition increases. Vietnam Airlines has re-entered the market with prices below $5000 from east coast to europe. Cathay will open up - hopefully - given their restrictions on quarantine (let’s hope they can get their crew back). Japan should also open up, meaning more flights.

There’s a backlog of travel at the moment… surely that has to ease at some point? QF and others charging nearly $10k business class return can’t be sustainable?,
