Has anyone used this lobby check-in service?

We are on an 8am JAL flight next week; and it may be useful if available/convenient.

This hotel is so close to our SQ gate we did not need to try that service.
I booked on line then thought about it and called the hotel to halve the price.They then tried to get me to check in at the first price.It all ended ok because I had a print out of the second booking and I had cancelled the high priced room.
Very nice room and worth trying if you are doing a longhaul out of SIN.

I have stayed at the hotel and it is convenient and modern. I did not use the lobby check-in and picture/recall how it would work. The lobby/reception area is not huge and I remember coming down the escalator and finding myself trying to look around a large pillar to find the reception desk.

Its very easy to get from the hotel to all terminals using the usual inter-terminal automated people movers. If you have priority check-in at the departure terminal and need to check-in (i.e. you are not already checked through) then I would probably head to the terminal for check-in, especially since you are not likely to be trying to get to the lounge earlier than check-in opens for a departure at the time you note.
