Just wondering whether anyone knows how many hours do domestic cabin crew work on their shifts and the typical flying patterns they would fly? I giess there is no hard and fast rule which determines this.

Also, I often hear the term "out of hours" when it comes to cabin crew - what would be the maximum hours they could work before this happens? Given flights from the East Coast to PER are generally the furthest domestic flights within Aus, would the crew hours allow a Sydney to Perth return service similar to the patter of the plane (say QF 575 SYDPER and then QF 580 PERSYD)?

Spoke to a cabin crew member (QF) on Thursday,
He had started the day in the morning from Townsville to Brisbane, then Brisbane to Adelaide and the last flight for work that day was Adelaide to Melbourne (1140 departure to Melbourne - my flight). So he was back in Melbourne (home base for him) at 1330 - slight delay with flight.

Last year when I was at a party, I spoke to a cabin crew memeber that was employed by MAM (for Qantas.) She would do PER-BNE then overnight and then BNE-PER. Or PER-SIN then 2 nights then SIN-PER. 2 nights in SIN paid for by QF.
