Presently a Silver Krisflyer member & need to obtain 20,000 miles prior to Jan 2012 in order to maintain my status.

Is there an alternative method to obtain status credit point other than actual flying.

Also a bank west gold card member with approximately 95,000 points.

I don't believe you can gain any status miles on Singapore airlines other than by flying.

In fact isn't this case with all airlines? And yes I know some allow credit card points for lifetime accrual, ala AA, but this is not likely to last very long.
