I am looking at getting a credit card (never had an AMEX). but was wondering what do you guys recommend? looking to get as many bonus points as possible...

Hi, i applied for the Qantas staff platinum credit card in May for there current promotion of 30k QFF bonus points for a simple monthly spend. The card is fantastic, however the annual fee of 195$ is a bummer but the bonus points easily cover the fee in my opinion.

Some of the Amex cards offer a free flight each year ad bonus points with the annual fee. I cant look at those however as the flight doesnt go in and out of Cairns.

Lastly check out the woolworths mastercard, which has a great bonus points offer and a low annual fee if you apply now.
