Corporate Travel spend

All,
looking for feedback, i have been a member for a while and would appreciate some guidence and or advice, we have a spend of some $6ooK+ p.a through a single airline with what appears to have little tangible benefit. The identified travel agent is always bettering the contracted fares (on the same airline)
We would also spend close to another $300k on other airlines (mostly international) I may add we do have a strict economy policy,what is reasonable to expect?
Happy to discuss offline but have been battered by agents touting for the business ( I am happy with the current one) It really is what can i push the airline for and what is reasonable to expect, we may be deceiving ourselves and just small fry in a larger ocean.

Velocity Accelerate (targeted at SMEs 20-300k spends) gives a rebate of 2-5.5%
Qantas Acquire gives out bonus FF points

Assume both have even better programs for larger spends.

All I can say is that my previous company, which spent over $1m on travel in Australia moved to FCM (part of the often unfairly maligned Flight Centre) and saved quite a bit. I wasn't directly involved in the process, but that is what I was told.
