There is a post on the Hilton forum of Flyer Talk in the last couple of days suggesting that the Conrad Hong Kong is soon to leave the Hilton family. It is unverified and I note the poster, claiming inside information, said the same thing about the Conrad Macao a month ago. If this is true it will be a major loss to the chain. I guess we just wait and see.

The FT poster has now put up the following post:

"Response below from Conrad Hong Kong's Management and I am very relieved.

Conrad Hong Kong is still Conrad Hong Kong and for the next few years that will stay that way. Indeed, the hotel is operating under a management agreement, which will continue for the foreseeable future.

My apologies for spreading "fake news." I should have checked directly with Conrad Hong Kong first before I shared the info given me by another Hilton GM."

I'll get back to my cornflakes.

At least for a few years...

Weird statement, possibly ownership / management / flag contract differences ??
