Can I have a bit of advice please? I had booked some J flights some months ago - CBR-SYD-DRW and then DRW-BNE-CBR I had 40 minutes between arriving Syd and leaving and the same for arriving Brisbane and leaving. After the latest schedule changes, I now have 30 minutes connection in Sydney and 25 minutes in Brisbane. I think the Sydney one is still OK but is Brisbane too fine and should I be asking for a change? I am not worried about missing out on the lounges and having to go straight to the next plane, but I don't want to be stranded/stressed either. Thanks for help.

25 min is kind of extreme! If you consider that AC door might close 5-10 min before schedule departure, it doesn't leave a lot of time to jump from one plane to the other. I usually call QF if a connection is less than 45 min.

I would see if QF would give me more time for the lounge sorry mean more time for QF to put my bags on the next flight.

25 mins will be tight.

I have had tighter than that but QF was late leaving TSV for my connection in BNE for my flight to CBR so they where very aware of how tight it was.

My bags made it as well.

FA advised me which gate we where coming in on and which gate I had to make it to.

They did offer for me to stay overnight in BNE and get the flight the next morning but I had my family on the flight from BNE to CBR and I had all of there luggage. Once I advised them what was happening they made it all happen.

OK thanks I will give them a call and see what they will do - they have got rid of a lot of Darwin flights particularly at weekends so not that much of a choice, but there is a Darwin - Melbourne one that will have a hour before the Canberra one leaves - I will try for that. Given they have caused the problem with schedule changes, they should be amenable....

With the Brisbane atc issues being experienced, there is no way I would trust any plane to meet that connection.

Ok changed both legs so now have 1.5 hours in Sydney (MR FM will be annoyed as he hates waking up early!) and changed to DRW-MEL-CBR which gives us an hour between flights (and a bit of time in the lounge :) ). Thanks for the advice.....
