Mrs Albatross & I are doing a one night stopover and taking up the Sri Lankan Airlines Nightstop offer. We arrive about 9:25pm one night, departing 6:30pm the following night. Excited to see that we'll get the hotel, transfers and food included. We've been briefed to look out for the NightStop desk when we arrive on Colombo.

Question regarding the hotel, which has been described as Catamaran Beach. Does the normal hotel check out of 10am or midday apply or do we get to keep access to the room unit 4pm-ish?

Seems like a pretty standard upper middle Negombo hotel. Ordinary checkout is 11:00 a.m. A bit of searching for the hotel on-line might be helpful.
Not having used NightStop (NS) before (I have friends nearby) I can only suggest that you query NS as to the late check out time. Traffic shouldn't be an issue from Negombo, but I would allow a bit for the confusion of check in unless flying in business class.

Happy wandering

Fred

Thanks Wandering_Fred.

This morning I received a reply back from the tour guide whom advises
If you are on a srilankan airlines stop over you can stay until your flight. If you have reserved on your own, then the check out time is 11am./QUOTE]

I'll confirm it here after I find out what happens.

i was going to suggest you would be able to stay until flight departure but wasn't sure. Your advice from the tour guide confirms it.

It would be unusual for a stopover hotel, provided by the airline, not be available until flight departure.
