I'm sitting at Coffs airport awaiting a DJ flight back home tonight.

I came up here this morning on QF link, but due to a number of factors, DJ is my return airline.

I have been refused anytime access to the lounge by the QF Link staff and I guess I don't need to explain my reaction to that.

So far I have had two conversations with QF to confirm my access rights, confirmed, I have passed my phone to the QF Link staff who have been told by QF to allow access, yet they still refuse, my ability to bite my tongue has worn so thin that rather than get into a cough fight, I have walked away.

This is beyond a joke that the QF Link staff have done this especially after being TOLD to allow access by QF!

Not saying that this would be the one, but I am sorely tempted to offer DJ all domestic travel, I can't believe I have been treated this way by QF Link and in such a demeaning manor by it's staff in front of others...

Anytime access is not available to regional lounges:

"Again, both you and your guest need to be travelling together further that day on a Qantas marketed flight.++ "

Access to Associated lounges
You will be welcome at associated lounges in most international ports that Qantas flies to but where it does not operate its own lounge or partner airline lounge. Our associated lounges are operated by, or on behalf of, other airlines.^^ Present your Qantas Club, Platinum or Gold Frequent Flyer card at check-in and again with your boarding pass at the lounge reception. You may also invite one guest. Again, both you and your guest need to be travelling together further that day on a Qantas marketed flight.++ If you are taking a domestic flight, your guest does not need to be travelling. ##

^^Lounges are not available in ports that are only serviced by Qantas codeshare flights.
++ Qantas marketed means a flight with a 'QF' flight number on your ticket.
## Domestic associated lounges have been re-branded Qantas Regional Lounge.

I was in Coffs two weeks ago waiting for a plane, I didn't even know there was a lounge there, I didn't go looking! Missed a free beer.

Not according to QF on the phone. OWE has anytime access

I rung and checked 2 times to confirm no false positive from QF regarding this lounge.

Also, this lounge has a plaque outside that says it's a QF lounge, and also has the OWE and OW badges on it.

They may not be aware of the regional lounges now being classed as an associated lounge, hence the confusion, no different to the JQ lounge at OOL really in terms of ownership!

I've long complained about lounge access rules being confusing, inconsistent and impossible to interpret. This is yet another example.

This page Fly - The Qantas Club - Lounge Locations - Australian Domestic says:
* Qantas Regional Lounges are operated by, or on behalf of, other airlines in selected ports to which Qantas operates. Qantas Regional lounges may only be open to Qantas Club members two hours before Qantas departures. Domestic associated lounges have been re-branded “Qantas Regional Lounge”.
Perhaps you should say that, as you're a Qantas Club member and it's currently within two hours before a QF departure (QF2117 departs at 5.25pm, then you should be allowed access.
