For coffee it is but the lounge is packed :)
Can't win...lol. yes it's pretty busy I agree. Worse out at gate areas...gates changing for various flights and certainly not well or orchestrated boarding. 🫣

I want the caffeine… what’s the alternative? I don’t like cold drinks, so coke is out. Or take a pill. Don’t much fancy that either.

I’m happy with nescafé… so a machine that grinds the beans and makes coffee is already a step up for me! :) Barista coffee? I’m not sure I can really tell the difference. Or want/need to?

Anyway… given this is the VA lounge thread… regardless of who likes their coffee made which way… those who are time poor and happy to accept a machine brew should have the option?
You are speaking my language MEL. A couple of heaped teaspoons of Nescafe green when I get up and I am good all day.
These people that worry about a "good" coffee are not true coffee addicts.

Who has coffee after lunch??!?. Seriously, that stuff is for 0600. I would d be up all night! haha
I normally have between 3-4 after lunch.
Usually one with lunch and then one in the arvo. If we eat at restaurants which is most nights I’ll have one with tea and then I usually have my last one just before bed which is around midnight

We both work long hours and so most nights we wouldn’t get home to 8pm at earliest and then the hassle of preparing tea so we just find it easier to have dinner earlier. Can often just be dinner at a pub or club which are reasona priced

No queue for coffee this morning, and premium entry open too. Moral of the story is get there earlier (for SYD at least).

There was a bit of a line when I was at SYD around 6:30 this morning. Thought I'd be efficient and grabbed a bowl of museli while I was waiting for my coffee order, then attempted to carry the bowl, plus coffee, while dragging my bag over to a vacant table. Half-way through setting things down on the table I managed to deposit nearly the entire contents of the cup onto the table. I couldn't face lining up again after that...

That's often my fear. I'll generally order coffee first, plonk my items down, grab my pancakes and then pick up the coffee before heading back to said table. 9 days out of 10 I do alright 😎
