Hi,

I have an upcoming trip I am looking at to AKL and I just wanted to confirm - if I book the QF flight, operated by EK I would still get the status credits for QFF correct? I just want to be 100% positive before I book as I'm hoping to pick up the DSCs on offer...

Thanks so much!
Cheers

As long as you book the flight with the QF flight number, yes.
Be careful because the QF website will offer to sell you the same flight with both the QF and the EK flight number, and the EK flight number is often cheaper.
But you will earn no SCs if you book the EK flight number.

Are there double SCs on offer currently?

DSC offers with a few exceptions tend to state that only QF marketed and operated flights will get DSCs. The exceptions may be certain AA flights to/from the States. Read the T&Cs of the offer you've got.

The "global" DSC offer from April specifically EXCLUDED QF codeshare flights on all airlines except a handful of transpsac AA codeshares between SYD-LAX and AKL-LAX. For that promo, at least, Other, targeted offers, may differ but in general they apply only to QF *operated* flights.

The recent DSC offers people have been posting (not the April one) have been for QF flight numbers, irrespective of who's operating them.

All the personalised DSC offers which I have received have been applicable to all QF marketed OR operated flights with a QF flight number.
I am aware that the general DSC offers are often subject to more stringent conditions.
However as far as I am aware there are no current, general DSC offers out there.
So I assumed that the OP was referring to a personalised DSC offer which they had received.
However I did ask the question at the end to make sure.

Thanks for the responses - it says in the email "For a limited time you'll be rewarded with 50% more status credits on eligible flights with a QF number on your ticket." So I guess not so much a double status credit offer, but better than a kick in the teeth I guess. Anyway, work looks like they're not going to book me on the EK flight anyway, so no harm. Thanks for the info though, good for next time!
