I've read of a few people having difficulty in getting lounge access, as a QF WP, when they have credited their flights to a FF scheme in which they have no status.

My thought is to credit a CX Y+ trip (CNS-HKG-DXB-HKG-BNE) to AA as I work towards AA status. I recently had a dispute with a BA LHR lounge dragon in similar circumstances. I won but felt uncomfortable. Does anyone have any experience of CX lounge access in HKG and DXB in these circumstances?
