I did a dummy run for 2 in First Class Classic and it was 336k points plus $944 going Perth-Dubai-London.

Hmmm, so about 168,000 points and $475 or so for 1 one way?? If you value the QFF points at about 1 cent a bit over $2000...

What's AA, about $1600 was it for the points with that 60k+30k bonus last month, and then a couple of hundred dollars in taxes... And from the West Coast we get to fly over to the East Coast to indulge in QFs F class...

If that comparison is correct, will be good when EK's A380 eventually starts flying out of PER...

Tony Hancock and others could photoshop you into an A380 casonovawa. The offer is pretty good and the seats were everywhere last night. It pays to have a bank of QF or AA miles for Qantas making a comeback with its Frequent Flyer seat availability.

Hmmm... availability doesn't seem to match what's available on emirates.com. I wonder if its just that QF's booking engine is not accurate or skywards just makes more flights available to its members...

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

When will that be ?

Currently there is no gang plank in Perth so WA still stands for wait awhile. I think it will be this year but with Perth Airport pretty much everything gets delayed.
Just don't hold your breath.

Can;t find any direct DXB-ADL Classic Awards in any Class. Will these be listed?

Cna search QF awards on skywards now. Exactly the same miles + charges required ie PER-MEL in Y, 18k + ~$38.

Great for me, another 1,250 miles from somewhere and I have a o/w Y ticket to NZ and can rid myself of EK miles.

When will that be ?

Was mentioned on a post on AFF earlier (think i posted it)...

Whenever it was meant to occur the EK CEO said it would be delayed 5 months... So not sure if it was going to be early or mid 2013 and it will now by mid or late 2013???

Sooner the better better anyway...

And Cove, i have yet to fly an A380 (although that should change in July) so i want to be in a real one, not photoshopped... :)

Only have about 100k QFF points as was saving up for a OW 140k/280k award... Using USDM i can probably still get 4-5 flights on a redemption itinerary in F (unfortunately not the to and from legs of Perth of course) for around $2500-3000 so that is still probably the cheapest redemption by a long way for me to achieve my first (and subsequent) F experiences...

Nothing wrong with US Airways Dividend Miles casanovawa and since we last did drinks several of my friends have set their flights into Europe from Perth for about $2300 real money. At that price I don't think they will go back to Y. It has been smiles all around for them.
Emirates and Qantas looks interesting for availability.

Hi,

I have tried to find first class availability out of BNE, Syd or MEL but nothing showing even the full year out. When is first class available or am I doing something wrong?

Dale.

I am having similar issues. It will show F availability but when you try and choose flight, everything is disappearing. Anyone else having any issues?

The more reasonably priced options the better... :)

A shower while flying F would also be nice one time, i think only EK offers that doesn't it?? Though realistically how much actual dosh would you want to part with for a a 3 minute shower etc...

Or did i speak to soon and there isn't so much EK F???

Just had a bit of a look and found stuff all through to CPH.

Interestingly my gut tells me that the Australia-DXB legs will be the bottlenecks, with everyone fanning out from there.

Hi Guys,

Thought I would report that I successfully booked two F class returns on EK flights today. I did this online on the QFF system via a classic award.

I booked from Perth to Prague, and Malta to Perth. It cost 288,000 points and $580 taxes each.

Spent hours yesterday with a very helpful rep from QF Frequent Flyer, who was trying to book 2 Business Class Seats from Sydney to Moscow return. She was showing plenty of seats available but it the space of 10 minutes, ALL of the Emirates seats disappeared almost instantaneously, and have not returned to availability since. There were 4 seats SYD - DXB and 7 seats DXB - DME, all of which became suddenly unavailable. Plenty of seats to purchase though. She kept liaising with her supervisor who agreed there must be a glitch in the system somewhere, but it's still not fixed this morning.

Anybody else having similar issues, or have an explanation?

Same problem
Not getting any availability on directish flights in J for flights to Glasgow in June/July.
