Does anyone know if Citibank intend on introducing PayWave on their Visa cards any time soon?

Cheers

Don't you actually have to touch the card to the reader for it to actually work? When I tried to pay for my maccas the other day, I didnt have the card flush on the reader and it didn't work.

I say this is another fear mongering attempt funded by the armish.

You would be far more likely to have you credit card details stollen by the cashier at a restaurant.

.

You just need an RFID reader and you can capture any chip cards details. Apparently this can be done with a quick bump into the back of you, against your wallet pocket and it's done.... IMHO Not worth the risk...

BTW love the Amish theory.... Lol

For those that are interested, I saw that on the Citibank Website, all the cards are showing the Visa Paywave Logo now.

I'm gonna call up and ask for a replacement card, with paywave. (for my citibusiness gold).

Welcome to 2007 lol

I just replaced my card and it don't have pay wave. Really annoying. And what's with it asking you to select savings cheque or credit? I only have credit account with them!

Hmm, when did you order your card?

I ordered my replacements on Sunday night, hopefully they will be Paywavable cards.

Really sick of typing my pin in at fast food joints that take paywave.

I called and requested new cards, but was told that current cards have this already active - my wife claims for it to work, but I don't believe her

I wouldn't believe them, unless you have been issued a new card very recently.

When did you last get issued a card?

You can check whether you have it by looking on the front of the card - it will say 'Visa paywave' and will have some squiggly lines next to the wording.

If you do not have this, you will not have this feature in your card.
