Bonus Qantas Points Earn in Shop promotion: Bonus Qantas Points offer is only available to Qantas Frequent Flyer members who receive an email communication indicating they are eligible for this offer. Sounds good. But each time I have bought online it has stated...Thank you for visiting Qantas Frequent Flyer’s Online Mall and shopping with eBay. Your Qantas Points are now on their way, so they’ll be appearing in your account soon (30 days from purchase). In many cases this message takes days to show up.
Now according to the T&C above one needs to (2) earned Qantas Points in the ‘shopping’ icon, So points take 30 days to show up, but promotion only runs from Dec 1 to 31!!!! Ergo unless you shopped online on Dec 1, any spend through the online mall is not going to assist in qualifying one for the bonus points as they will not arrive on the shopping icon till after Dec 31.
Now I may qualify with shopping at Woolworths via my everyday rewards, but that is not the point.Shopping online was meant to be able to qualify one. My daughter for example has shopped online enough to qualify except that the 30 period that it takes for points to post will see the points arriving uselessly for the promo in Jan. She has not qualified via Woolworths, and would not have the spend to do so. .
Am I ready the T&C incorrectly, or has Qantas misled us? Has Qantas induced us to try and qualify by online shopping throughout December knowing full well that the spending after Dec 1 would not actually count, and even on Dec 1 that unless the online store actioned the spend with QFF on that day, that even that would be too late.
