China bound? Get Taxi Book

Guys some of you may - most won't - know about Taxi Book for China.

It is the BEST App I have ever used - INVALUABLE if you are heading to China and like me speak no Chinese.

You can download a free version to test - then purchase individual cities - I have Beijing and Shanghai - will probably purchase Tianjin also post XMAS.

Very straight forward - step by step here is how it works - App opening:



List of cities - those you have purchased and cost of those not purchased:



Tap on the city and the Index opens:



Select from Index and next directory opens:



Again tap your selection to get to next Index:

Keep tapping - you are getting closer to your selection:



OK we are staying at China World Hotel - so tap China World:



Now tap on Taxi Card to get address in Chinese for taxi driver:



And this final step is the coolest part of all - tap the screen now and it you get the address in audio - thats right - that dang phone talks to you.

I was in Beijing 2 weeks ago and was knocked over by the number of expats using this App.

I had an issue with the App when iOS 5 was launched and contacted the developers directly - they responded overnight and issue was resolved in a matter of days - again IMHO this App is BRILLIANT.

Nice looking app, they need a Cantonese one too.

It does take the fun and mystery out if navigating the taxi and never quite knowing where you'll end up
