Hi, thinking of a J class across the ditch using China Airlines. Anyone got any advise. Saving around $600 over QF and NZ. Food and drinks are not a priority, can always get that in the lounge before. Basically just using it for transport and not an experience
TIA

No issues. Full flat beds. Food and beverage will be good.

Very good option and I would even suggest that the CI product is the pick of those three

I have noticed that China Airline only released 1 business class ticket per flight from Mel/Syd at the moment?

It's a shame they stopped the MEL-AKL after one season. Would have made for a perfect Skyteam only MEL-AKL-PVG route for my needs.
I can confirm the soft product is top notch and is definitely a wonderful choice.

Anyone else notice the China Airlines reward seat availability with Qantas isn't very good if you want to transit through Taiwan to get to other parts of Asia or the world?
Yep. I've never found anything to Europe on CI, but occasionally to North America. Across Asia has been better (but still thin).

In other news, CI has now increased some frequencies to Aus. Note, however, that right now the A350s to MEL and sometimes BNE are loaded as using previous 3U-owned A359 with no PY (not listed on Aerolopa).
