If it was my thinking ditching a side trip costing $1000 was a possibility I'd want to at least make sure it is mostly refundable.

The KUP ticket is non refundable but I think it can be changed/reissued for US$100 for up to a year after the original ticket. Just means another trip back to the US to redeem.Kiwi Flyer said:If it was my thinking ditching a side trip costing $1000 was a possibility I'd want to at least make sure it is mostly refundable.
It is definitely QF25. I got confused by CheckMyTrip.Kiwi Flyer said:If you are flying MEL-AKL on QF25 then that is the same a/c that continues to LAX. If you are flying MEL-AKL on QF39 then you arrive around midnight and continue on to LAX next day (or later) on different a/c.
CheckMyTrip said:NOTE: Change of aircraft may be required. For at least one of your flights, you must change aircraft en route even though your ticket may show only one flight number and have only one flight coupon for that flight. Further, in the case of some travel, one of your flights may not be identified at the airport by the number on your ticket, or it may be identified by other flight numbers in addition to the one on your ticket. At your request, the seller of this ticket will give you details of your change of aircraft, such as where it will occur and what aircraft types are involved. .
