Cheaper flexi flights

Just made a booking OOL-SYD in September and I was surprised to find flexi bookings down to 139 from 189.
Goes quite well with the half points upgrade promotion.
Has anyone else noticed this on any other routes?

It seems that OOL is a bargain destination for us southerners, there are flexis MEL-OOL in August for $149~239 each way. I forsee getting out of town and making the OOL lounge my office for the day... Hmm.

Damnit! I looked at this earlier today and saw loads (almost every flight when I wanted to travel) of flexis @$139 (SYD-OOL). I'm heading to BNE for a mate's engagement party in November and was gonna fly there, but the fare difference would easily have given me the cost (and flexibility) of a rental car from OOL to drive up.

I go back to book tonight and they're almost all (bar one) gone! Balls!

Yeah, after my initial dismay I decided to take an annual leave day, now have late Sep and late Nov SYD-OOL J return for $270+4900pts each. Brilliant

I think they are responding to the low numbers of people using J and flexi fares. I flew OOL-MEL return yesterday and had no-one in J on the way down and 2-3 in J on the way back. I was a flexi fare ($209 each way which I see is $149 now) and when they were giving out the free snacks I think I was the only one who got them. In other words the plane only had discount fare people on board.
