Noticed this just now, doesn't seem to be any more discounts than the usual "sales", however....

I think the recent sales, of which there have been a few (though some last year) have been lower than I would have expected, but Qantas also increased fares by a few percent recently.

They obviously have plenty of spare domestic seats.

There is a sale on almost every week but I would not say airfares are getting lower.

The recent QF sales have had SYD-BNE/MEL at $75 whilst last year I was able to get them for %65 and $69.
