Have you tried to look for a BRG rate with either IHG or Choice Hotel properties? Considering you can get a free room, it's worth taking sometime out of your day to do this.

The Op was looking for a room after being offloaded, IHG BRG can and often do take over 24 hours to respond.

Always check to see it is a one dollar note as twenties feel the same and look the same in the dark.
