Changing Upgrade Request on an international discount ticket?

Hi there

I'm heading to LA in February on a discount ticket which is generally not eligible for upgrade. I was lucky enough to be able to request an upgrade to PE when Qantas had one of the those few windows of opportunity to upgrade discount tickets back in June last year. At the time I did not have enough points to request Business. I now have enough points for business but my ticket is not eligible for upgrade. Do you think if I rang Qantas they would allow me to change my upgrade request from PE to Business? Has anyone had experience with this before? My status is SG.

It can't hurt to give QFF a call and try it out... however they are not obliged to agree, and so just don't go in with your hopes set too high! Best of luck, and let us know how you fare!
