Change to points earn Melb - Syd?? Anyone else notice?

Hi all

Have I missed something ... have been flying Melb/Syd far too frequently, with base velocity points having consistently being 395 points plus my status bonus.

But for my flight 23 August 2013, it's magically only earned me 345 points ... did I miss something that Melb/Sydney was going to be 50 points less for the same flight????

Base points are earned at five points per dollar - did you happen to pay $10 less than "normal" for the most recent flight?

I find it quite impressive, by the way, that you have been able to acquire $79 fares so regularly that you've never noticed the points/$ variation!

Points earn is directly related to fare paid. Lower fare less points

I didn't realise ATRs were used on the MEL-SYD-MEL sectors!

As a regular last minute flyer (and as a Plat so 10x $) I am often getting 2,500+ points.
