Hi Guys

I have AA Platinum card and tomorrow im flying with QF to NZ. Unfortunately, due to some reason its better for me to accrued point to QFF. So, I want maximise my benefit as AA platinum for lounge access.

Question
I planning to give my AA no when checked in and printed in the boarding pass and change the boarding pass before boarding to QFF. Is this possible? How?

Thank you in advance

Yes you can have the number changed in the lounge. I know many who have done it before.

when you said change in the lounge. How ? ask the staff? or change ourself in website?

Be prepared that the lounge staff may kick up a stink if you ask them to change the FF number.

The points will go most likely to AA despite the number change

I've done this before and found the best way is to ask the gate agent before boarding to change it (or if there is a general customer service counter nearby). Make sure to ask for a new boarding pass so that you can check the number has been entered correctly. My experience with lounges (domestic not international) is that the smaller lounges will sometimes do it but MEL & SYD in particular have kicked up a stink claiming it is not allowed because you are "double dipping" ?!?

Thank you very much for the info.

I would have thought that it's in QFs interest to have the points credit to them rather than pay AA. I'd be surprised if they kick up a stink.

I believe that one method is to enter the lounge using your AA number, then change the number on the booking to QF using the Royal Jordanian website (manage my booking).

Have done this a number of times recently on domestic flights. No problem at all in asking the lounge staff to change the number. My situation was reverse, platinum QFF wanting to credit AA.
However, you're flying internationally. Again there should be no problem asking the lounge staff to change the number. But you can probably also ask them to change the number at check in. I had zero problems entering the first lounge with a flash of the QFF plat card and a BP with an AA number on it.

If still worried just ask the lounge to change number when exiting the lounge.

not sure about Royal Jordanian, but finnair - manage my booking seems to be able to change numbers most of the time.
