Centurion - Benefit value of CX Diamond

There is a lot of discussion about the CX diamond status on here. I am wondering what the value has been for people of this amex benefit?

I have only flown CX in Y 4 times since having the card so far upgrade rate on CX was 1 in 4 segments.
Never been upgraded from C.
On board service no real difference IMHO.
Other benefit has been QF domestic lounge access and QF Int 1st lounge in SYD.

Has anyone had upgrades? on CX or other OW? from what to what?

What other value do people get from this?

I travel, nearly exclusively, on redemptions. My sole benefit from CX Diamond will be access to the JAL first lounge in TYO while flying QF business, because no first exists on the flight.

Otherwise, it hasn't been of use, as the class of travel offers the same benefits, at least for my needs.
