CDG overnight?

Hi all, seeking advice on options at CDG. I'm arrivng about 11pm and departing wiht AY at about 7am the next day. I've tentatiely booked a hotel near the airport, that is accessible via the train, but I'm thinking - is there any option to just stay in the airport itself? I think thought CDG is not a 24hr airport, ruling out the option to find a comfy seat in a lounge?

Many years ago I slept on a bench at CDG T3 (which used to be T9), so I presume it's still possible to stay overnight landside in various terminals, but I don't know for sure. With a 7AM departure I would suggest you book a room at one of the "Roissypole" hotels easily accessible via the "CDGVAL" (a small electric train running from 4AM to 1AM daily. The IBIS is usually the cheapest, but there's also a Pullman and Hilton. The most expensive option is usually the Sheraton directly accessible from T2.

Have had good stays at both the Pullman and Novotel at CDG. Both easy to get to from the terminals

I’ve only stayed at a hotel at CDG once.

I stayed at the Ibis. Small, basic, clean with a really comfortable bed (maybe it was just exhaustion).

For the price and relatively short time I spent there, it was all that was needed on that occasion.

Stayed at the hilton, very nice, but still takes a wee while to get back (by shuttle) to the terminal. There is a Sheraton very very close and if i stayed over again that would be my choice

Citizen M is usually a bargin and next to Hilton.

I stayed at the Sheraton a few years ago and it was very convenient to the terminal. For me, it was all about the convenience of being able to walk direct to the terminal and not deal with any form of shuttle.

By the time you collect your bags after an 11pm arrival and then have to be back at the airport at least 1 hr before your 7am departure, you will only have 5-6 hrs at most to fill in. That will be even less if there's travel time to a hotel involved. I'd just find a quiet corner and settle in for a snooze (or better still a lounge if available). There are always people in the same predicament as you, doing just that at virtually every major airport every night.

The CDGVAL runs every 8 minutes or less and it takes 5 minutes to get to Roissypole and the Ibis is 25 metres away. I'd say when the Ibis is under AUD100 a night it's better than sleeping on the floor...
