So I was looking forward to a reward flight to the US via BNE until this afternoon when I discovered that VA cancelled most of their direct CBR-BNE flights during July. What's weird is that instead of the 3 dailies during the week only 1 evening flight a day is now available and on the weekend that gets upped to 2. Exceptions are Tuesdays that get no flights, Mondays all 3 remain.

No announcements, nothing. My ticket is no longer valid :evil:

CBR never will be a priority for Virgin; unfortunately for those that have the Capital as their start and end point.

Had an International J reward booked for April 5th. Last week got a call from Velocity that our flight CBR-SYD had been changed due to scheduling (turning a 2.5 connection into over 7 hours) and now being ATR no J class so downgraded to Y. Got $200 travel bank credit after a lot of complaining (Mostly because I just wanted to get a better domestic flight with Qantas and meet up with the International connecting in Sydney, I was told that if I was a no show on the CBR flight the whole reservation would be cancelled and that I can not cancel the CBR -SYD without cancelling the whole thing)
Cancelled the flight today. Transfered points to Krisflyer and with a little top up we are now flying SQ First Class from MEL with a 3 hour connection, Qantas flight CBR - MEL.
Virgin are just starting to become a way for me to fly SQ. I have hit WP again with 6 months to go. Got the Qantas status match so I think I'll give Qantas a run for this next 6 months.
