Hi all

I noticed that the CBA diamond and platinium AMEX cards have no transactions fees for international purchases

  • Zero international transaction fees^^ on overseas purchases made in-store and online using your CommBank Diamond American Express card
Does it apply to the diamond and platnium mastercard too ?

Does this mean that this card is better to use than the 28 degree card - particularly since you get points ?

Its been that way for a couple of months, so it may make it a good card for use overseas - it will depend on the FX rate applied (compared to the very-close-to spot rate you get with 28 Degrees).

I don't think it applies to the MasterCard.

It most definitely does not work for the Mastercard, only the Amex. I use a Bankwest Platinum Mastercard O/S instead when AMEX is not accepted.

The FX rate is very good.
