Cathay's Distressed Inventory Release

Hello everyone,
I wonder when will Cathay usually releases its distressed inventory (last minute reward) tickets?
I am just puzzling to comprehend that ports such as Singapore are selling dirt cheap Business Light tickets when there's no reward available in December.
Surely there's a point in time when Cathay is releasing them provided they are having 8x daily SIN-HKG?

I've only had experience with flights to/from Australia. I remember around 6 days out from departure I managed to nab a business class seat to Sydney from Hong Kong. There's no real pattern I can tell tho. Best to use something like seats.aero and set alerts and see if they come through.
