Hi all

I've got a few J flights on Cathay this year and wondering what seats I should be going for.

My flights are as follows:
  1. CX136 / Sep / PER - HKG / A330-300
  2. CX846 / Oct / HKG - JFK / 77W
  3. CX829 / Oct / YYZ - HKG / 77W
  4. CX170 & 171 / Dec / PER - HKG return / A330-300
  5. CX178 / Oct / SYD - HKG / A330-300

When does the new J class come in for Perth and Melbourne?

Also, there seems to be different configurations for flights 2 and 3 even though they are 77Ws. Does anyone know why?

Lastly, is it advisable not to go for priority seats (i.e. re-allocatable seats for the disabled etc)?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

I can't help all that much with your questions but . . .

Do you have an ExpertFlyer subscription? If so, check your flights' seat maps. A333 flights with a 1-1-1 config in J are the old J (Herringbone or coffin as they were known). A 1-2-1 config is the new J.

As for different configs on the 777s, the CX Flyertalk thread has some stickies at the top that might help.
